How to prepare for any job Interview!!!
Hello everyone,
Today I am going to
share with you some tips and tricks about how to prepare for any job interview.
First of all, I'm a final year CS engineering student and most of my time goes
on finding out about jobs, companies, off campuses, campus drives etc. So I
have learnt certain things that are rally helpful.
So
the first thing that you should do before attending any interview is
- Checkout
the company website:-
Every standard company (be it core or IT) has
its website. Read about all the About us, careers section, technologies
(important), projects, work etc. sections.
How it helps?
It gives us an inside view of what the company works on.When facing HR interview you are asked "Why you want to join our company?"
If you
have adequate information about the job role and company you can give a proper
answer and thus impress the HR manager.
- Read about the company's interview process on Glassdoor:-
This is a major step.
All the notable companies are registered on this site.
Here you can get information about
company reviews, salary, Interview process, etc for all of the job roles in
each company location.
Employees give feedback regarding their
experiences with particular company on this site hence you get to know inside
knowledge. (Cool isn’t it?)
How it helps?
Majority of times, interview process of
companies are same everywhere.
I have seen myself that even the technical
questions of some companies are bit by bit repeated. So you know what you are
facing and what you have to prepare.
Tip-You can even read placement papers for the same.
- 3. Prepare for the technical questions:-
Best website for this is undoubtedly
Indiabix
Study for your subjects related to your job role
from this questions.
It has sections for quantitative aptitude,
programming, puzzles, logical reasoning, engineering questions and everything you need to
prepare.
How it helps?
Many times it is observed that technical
questions especially for aptitude round are set directly from this site. (Yes it is true) So you know where
to prepare from. Isn’t that cool??
4.
- Prepare with your friends:-
Get your friends involved with you in
preparation. Do group discussions, ask each other questions and help in
understanding.
How it helps?
When you face any question you will remember how
you had discussed about it with your friends and hence will be able to answer
easily. This way you remember more. (Plus, studying alone is so boring)
- 5.
Study everything you mention in your Resume:-
In technical HR rounds major questions will be
from things that you have mentioned in your resume. So make sure you gather all
information about it and revise esp. about projects.
How it helps??
This way you can drive your interview in your
own way. The HR will be asking all his doubts regarding your projects which you
have already worked on so, you are able to answer confidently.
- 6.
Be confident!!!
Now that you have prepared completely for the
interview, Just Be Confident.
You have prepared well, have adequate skills and
have more edge above others.
Always smile and speak with the HR manager. This
indicates confidence.
Always have a cool, composed posture and a good
body language.
Practice handshakes, sitting on chairs, speaking
politely etc.
That’s it from my side!!I hope you crack that
dream interview and let me know if I was of any help.
Cheers!!!
